LACER WILD is the first ep of NOT399093, a speaker of left field and wobbly sounds from Rome. New muddy post-main room music, in full marble&wobbling mentality, between smarmello-core and dub urban gloom.
"Panasonica" is composed of jungle atmospheres chewed by malfunctioning reproducers, in a perpetual lucid sleep between electronic dementia and paralysis. The rhythms give way to plastic and fragmented transients, the composition decays, error as an escape route. "Woodmen dance" is a gloomy dance in a swamp of wobbles and acid visions, a mantra of modulations of the mind trying to settle down to the fog of anti-frequencies that surrounds it.
The first rework is the remodulation of "Panasonica" offered by Equohm (½ of Since Crew, monthly event in East Rome and radio show on Noods Radio, an absolute guarantee for our feet), which dilates and slows down the original beat to take it from bar to bar. In the sign of the sound proposed by Since, the remix is therefore a condensate of dubstep rhythms and torticollis scudisciate; we continue with the rework of "Woodmen dance" edited by Steve Pepe, the most electronic alias of the tireless Manuel Cascone. The song took a truck through the woods of Twin Peaks, between a persuasive groove and a mesmerizing bass line, we end up transported in a noir atmosphere, by cigars and contracts torn from the devil. LACER WILD ends with a second rework of "Panasonica", this time remixed by Compulsive Pene Madonna, a destabilized duo based in Turin, who rightly propose an uncomfortable remix, breaking and recomposing the beat, collecting low frequencies, percussions and grabbed voices and ensuring a bursting finale.
All the covers of the first four releases of Riforma (Batch#1) are edited by the pictorial art of Christopher Vega, who describes the one created for LACER WILD as follows: "In this mixture of unexpected noises the interpretative paths are multiple, dictated by the speed of a rhythm that does not allow the display of static images. Each beat is the transformation of the previous imaginary, their hasty succession creates a visual story made of explosions, changes, breaks and fades. The elements move whirling and alternating full and empty spaces create ambiguous and kinetic compositions".
NOT399093 is a producer, a dj, but also a visual artist and a noise engineer and a d.i.y. soldier in his self-construction project NO-FI MILITIA.
